Selwo Adventure, Selwo Marina and Teleférico Benalmadena form part of a great selection of places to visit on the Costa del Sol where nature, fauna and adventure are the protagonists.

Selwo Adventure

Selwo Adventure is the closest to the Marina. Located in Estepona, Selwo Adventure takes us on a tour through various African scenes and other far away territories so that we can find out how the Bengalese tigers, giraffes, elephants and white bisons live. In fact there are over 2000 animals from all five continents in Selwo inhabiting areas that are designed to reproduce their original habitats. Visitors journey through the park on truck or on foot.

There are also plenty of adventure activities available such as Ziwa, the longest zip wire in Europe and the route of the hanging rope bridges. Visitors can also ride through the park on a camel and practise their archery.
Selwo adventure also gives you the option of extending your stay with accommodation available at Selwo Lodge, an exclusive hotel made up of various African styled cabins with modern day comforts. This will give guests the experience of staying in the heart of Africa without leaving the Costa del Sol.

Selwo Marina

Selwo Marina is located in Benalmadena and is made up of a number of areas created to reflect territories as diverse as South America and the Caribbean all the way to the frozen terrain of the Antarctic region.

The park has the only frozen dolphin and penguin enclosure in Andalucia. A visit to see the dolphins enables guests to experience and interact with these intelligent creatures up close. In the penguin enclosure you will get the chance to meet the residents, Rey, Juanito, Saltarrocas and Magallanes, these friendly little birds make up the largest selection of penguin species in Europe.

A new addition to the Marina is Amazonia, where you will be transported to one of the world’s most legendary tropical forests. In Amazonia you can find out more about the animals that inhabit the rivers in this part of the world, such as piranhas, cat fish, caimans and serpents.

Teleférico Benalmadena

Teleférico Benalmadena is a short drive from the Marina and offers guests a spectacular cable car journey from the coast to Calamorro Mount, one of the highest enclaves on the Costa del Sol. On the summit, at more than 800 metres above sea level you will enjoy the fantastic views over the Malagueñan coast as well as donkey rides and bird of prey exhibitions featuring falcons, eagles, owls and vultures.
