Manilva Feria Starts Tonight

For anyone who´s never been to a Feria it’s an experience to remember

Each town in Andalucia has an annual feria or fair which is a large travelling fair and an excellent way for residents to relax and party.

The Manilva feria is held each August lasting for 3 or 4 days with plenty of fairground rides and tents selling food and drinks, plenty of live music, flamenco dancers and fun for all the family, this year’s programme is as follows

 

 

 

 

Thursday 11th August 23.30 Official opening of the fair 00.00 Judging and crowning of the local beauty queens.

Dance display with live, traditional ‘paso doble’ music

00.30 Live music and dance in the main feria tent

 

Friday 12th August 20.00 Float procession in Manilva accompanied by the Municipal band departing from ‘Las Viñas’ sports centre

22.00 Live music and dance in the main feria tent

23.00 Flamenco performance by the Municipal Flamenco Dance school in the main tent, choreographed by Inmaculada Chacon

 

Saturday 13th August 20.00 Float procession in Duquesa accompanied by the Municipal band departing from El Castillo

20.30 Float procession in Sabinillas accompanied by the Municipal band departing from La Noria

22.00 Live music and dance in the main feria tent

 

Sunday 14 August 22.00 Live music and dance in the main feria tent
